Kicking Off The Salvation Army’s Kettle Campaign in Gwinnett County

**Please monitor this event page or the event website in the days leading up to the HRD, as poor field conditions due to rain may lead to a cancellation**

Join us for our inaugural Home Run Derby event at Coolray Field! Gates open and activities begin at 12:30pm – including giveaways, live music, silent auction (featuring a signed Freddie Freeman bat, Jason Heyward cleats (used in a game) and MORE!), pictures with Santa, bouncy house, local mascots, characters, face painting, and stadium food vendors.

Best of all? It’s FREE ADMISSION to all attendees! Participants will include High School Boys and Girls superstars in both baseball and softball from Gwinnett County. Special guests will include former Atlanta Brave and MLB Host Mark DeRosa and other big-name sport stars that will be announced closer to the event.

Proceeds from this Red Kettle Kick-Off Home Run Derby event will go to help thousands of lives through The Salvation Army of Gwinnett County. Over the past year, The Salvation Army of Gwinnett County was able to provide 17,993 nights of shelter to men, women and children. Through our Emergency Food Assistance program, we were able to help 7690 individuals and 2377 households; and our Angel Tree Gift Program served 935 families, which included 2,499 children. Youth Character Building programs have served 3,813 children, while our Music & Creative Arts programs were taught to approximately 6,961 children.

Won’t be able to make the event but still want to support the cause? Visit https://give.salvationarmygeorgia.org/give/208650/#!/donation/checkout to give. Your donations will help provide shelter, food, utilities, and spiritual care for THOUSANDS of lives throughout our community.
